Abstract

One of the most important Shia poets in the Arab world, the late Sharif Razi is known as Seyyed Razi, a writer and scholar, and Mohtsham Kashani has an undisputed reputation in this field among Persian speakers. The current research aims to investigate the similarities and differences in the viewpoints of these two great poets regarding the great incident of Ashura and to investigate the common themes in their epithets in Alfieh Sharif Razi and the twelve stanzas of Mohtsham Kashani. Sharif Razi and Mohtsham both consider the event of Ashura as the Last Judgment, and Babiani, of course, tries differently to implement this theme in his poetry. Also, in a part of his ode, Sharif Razi mentions the deviation of the Prophet's Ummah from religion, and Mohtsham names the criminals and oppressors of the Ashura incident more clearly. This article describes the huge and painful events of Karbala from the perspective of these two poems.
